Homestead Kennels is situated on broad acres in beautiful Wonga Park in the Eastern suburbs, an easy drive from the City of Melbourne. While your pets are in our care they will receive professional attention, be fed a high quality diet, be entertained with piped music and have adequate exercise.
Homestead Kennels is owned by Rod and Margaret Maruff, who since purchasing the property in 1977, have built up an excellent reputation for quality and service given to our many customers and their pets.
The majority of new customers are referred by vets and by other satisfied customers.
Many of our original customers and their families still use our facility, often with their second or third pet.

We constantly monitor our customers' requirements and offer a full range of services for dogs and cats including:

Due to frequent requests we now board other small pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs and birds.

Inspections Welcome

We welcome inspection of our facility any time between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. except during school holidays. We will be only too pleased to discuss any special requests you may have.

On-Site Caretaker & Professional, Dedicated Staff

Our resident caretaker and other staff provide 24 hour security for the pets boarding at Homestead Kennels.

We are dedicated to working within the Code of Practice for Boarding as required by the Victorian State Government.

The kennels & cattery are located in beautiful Wonga Park; one of Melbourne’s best-kept secrets. We are a very pleasant 10 minute drive from Ringwood, and only 35-40 minutes due east of Melbourne’s CBD.
