The welfare of
cats is paramount, and this is reflected in the design of the cattery
here at Homestead.The facility is bright and cheerful with sufficient
exchange of air to provide a fresh atmosphere for the cats to live in.
Large
Cat Pens, Scratching Poles and Relaxing Music
The cat pens are all at least six feet high and are larger than
required under the Victorian State Government Code of Practice.
Complete with scratching poles, plus multiple levels for the cats
to climb, sit or just relax to the sound of piped music, they make
an ideal setting for a feline holiday.
Secure
Outside Play Areas
Cats enjoy time in the outside play areas which are very large,
fully meshed in and have extra security gates for safety.
With places to relax in, climbing branches and toys, cats have
the opportunity to romp around or just laze about and watch the
world go by.
Heat Pads
Heat pads are provided throughout the colder months for extra comfort.
Cat Food & Feeding
Cats are fed twice a day on quality foods such as chicken, turkey
and vegetable loaf, Whiskas tinned products and other premium dry
foods. Fresh meat is also available.
There is always plenty of fresh water provided in stainless steel
bowls.
Emergency Services - Veterinary Care
Should the need arise, we have access to several veterinarians
in the area who offer prompt service in the case of an emergency.
